Big speakers are better – especially when it comes to Induction Dynamics ID1 series speakers. Whether you want a big speaker for it’s superior sound properties, or just like the impressive stature, the Induction Dynamics ID1 series were built for you. All are available in a user-specified, custom finish that is as unique as you are. These big speakers, ranging from the 10″ ID1 to the mammoth-sized ID1.18, are guaranteed to blow your mind!
The ID1s are 4-Way tower speakers with separable subwoofers standing 45 inches tall, 11 inches wide, and 10.5 inches deep. Even though these are the smallest of the ID1 series, they’re no slouch at 85 pounds and low-end response flat down to 25hz! The ID1 incorporates dual 10″ subwoofers, plus a switchable 3-way speaker for more compact space requirements. Switchable passive subwoofer crossover converts the ID1 to a 4-way speaker. These big speakers are also available as on-wall and in-wall models (the ID1.W & ID1.IW, respectively).
The ID1.15 is a dramatic step up when it comes to big speakers. Utilizing dual 15″ subwoofers, the ID1.15 subwoofers more than double the surface area of the ID1’s. This means significantly more bass, more low-end extension, and more volume. Demand more bass? Hook these up in 3-way mode, and amplify the subwoofers seperately for power handing up to 1000 watts RMS! These big speakers measure 62.5″ tall, weigh 190 pounds, and are a certain conversation piece.
These big speakers are amongst the largest hifi speakers on the market. The ID1.18 takes all of the traits of the ID1.15 and pushes its boundaries. Massive-excursion 18″ subwoofers provide crushing bass from a free-standing speaker, while dual 6.5″ midbasses provide unbelievable drum transients. These are typically used as stereo speakers for music, but can also be used as mains for a home theater thanks to the switchable 3-way/4-way design. The ID1.18 towers at 65.75″ and weighs a whopping 240 pounds! Professional delivery and installation is recommended.
